What the data can and cannot tell you
Service requests filed through Commonwealth Connect, Cambridge's SeeClickFix-based reporting system.
The terminal status is Archived, not Closed. Fewer than 1% of tickets ever carry the Closed label.
Tickets that began as internal work orders are included but have their details suppressed, which inflates the Other category.
Usable history starts in 2016, when the dataset was created. Rows dated earlier are a scattered handful.
Daily volume is low enough that most individual categories cannot clear a same-day significance test. Quiet days here are genuinely quiet.
