Overview
The Tableau connector syncs your analytics and BI platform data into analytics-ready tables in your data warehouse. Pull workbooks, views, datasources, users, and usage stats from the Tableau REST API, with Ingest handling auth, pagination, and retries so the tables stay current.
What you can sync
Ingest syncs the following Tableau data into your data warehouse, each as its own table refreshed on your schedule:

- Datasources
- Users
- Usage stats
Authentication
Sign-in (username/password or Personal Access Token) for a session auth token
Create a Personal Access Token under user account settings, then call the Sign In method to get a session token.
You enter credentials in a secure form, never in chat. Ingest stores and rotates them for you.
